Influence of Preparation Method by Means of the Rotor Centrifugal Crusher on the Grading Curve of Reclaimed Asphalt
摘要
Reclaimed asphalt is becoming increasingly important in asphalt production. The more reclaimed asphalt is used, the more sustainable the asphalt becomes. This paper focuses on an innovative preparation method using a rotor centrifugal crusher. It examines how this method affects the grading curve of reclaimed asphalt. For this purpose, two different types of reclaimed asphalt are processed at varying rotor speeds and with different linings. The results show that changes in boundary conditions significantly influence the processed material. Coarser materials undergo more pronounced particle refinement compared to finer materials. Furthermore, bitumen detachment in the coarser fractions is higher when applying higher rotor speeds and using the ring armor lining. In summary, the rotor centrifugal crusher offers a wide range of possibilities for material preparation by varying its boundary conditions.
