Establishment of Dynamic Cell Freezing Model and Influence of Intracellular Freezing Curve

Pioneering advancements in cell cryobiology have led to the development of numerous biomedical applications, such as organ preservation. However, the mechanism of intracellular injury remains a subject of debate, and the influencing factors of cryoinjury continue to be elusive. Furthermore, research investigating the effects of varying freezing curves and the concentration of protective agents on cells, as well as their interactions with cells, is scant. This study delves into the rapid, controllable response of cell protectant concentration and cell freezing curve. We establish a thermodynamic model to explore the optimal freezing parameters of temperature, concentration, and flow rate during organ protection and regulation. By addressing the issue of insufficient constant freezing rate in existing studies, we obtain the optimal freezing strategy. The results indicate that effectively regulating the freezing curve significantly enhances cell preservation efficiency.
