An Intelligent Optimized Approach for Clear Sky Global Solar Irradiance Models

摘要

Estimation of solar radiation data is very crucial for optimizing solar power. This can be achieved only if the solar radiation is estimated with high accuracy. Meteorological stations that measure solar radiation may not be available at the location of interest for researchers. This is due to the costs of the necessary measuring devices. Solar radiation estimation models are then a good alternative. In this paper, we propose a new optimization method for solar radiation clear-sky models based in clearness index KT. The aim of our method is to improve the clear-sky models performance especially for cloudy days. In the present work, a clear sky r.sun model is used to estimate the 10 min-global solar radiation on an inclined plane in the Tahifet site located in the south of Algeria. Results showed a significant improvement of the performance of r.sun model after optimization.
