Intelligent Automated Control in Accordance with Resource Efficiency Criteria toward Circular Economy Transition

摘要

The paper proposes the generalised approach based on the mathematical control theory to provide the intelligent automated control in accordance with the resource efficiency criteria. The research highlights the need of the mathematical models that present a detailed description of processes in automation objects to assess the use of resources during operation. It suggests automated control optimisation in the context of minimal resource consumption towards the circular economy transition. The outcomes of the research lead to a solution of optimal controls carried out through resolving the problem of equality-constrained optimisation of the objective function in terms of resource consumption and depending on the control approximation parameters. The research approves that automated control system optimisation ensures economic, social and environmental benefits corresponding the circular economy concept. The findings of this study are also efficient in practice as they contribute to the development of novel types of intelligent automated control with additional resource saving function that is of essential need on the way to circular economy transition.
