Integration of Pick by Light in the Context of Learning Factories (Assembly Workstation 4.0)

Nowadays, the technologies offered by Industry 4.0 promote the digitization and optimization of manufacturing processes, particularly within assembly lines. Furthermore, Learning factories provide a reality-conform production environment as a learning environment, thus offering a practical learning experience similar to a real industrial site. In this context, we have developed a learning process aimed at enhancing the performance of an assembly station through the integration of pick-by-light. The comparison between the various presented concepts highlights the improvement of performance index in terms of processing time.
