System of Indicators for Assessing the Susceptibility of Enterprises to Energy-Saving Technologies

摘要

Reducing the consumption of non-renewable energy resources by enterprises requires increasing the susceptibility of companies to advanced energy-saving technologies. At the same time, the management of such susceptibility should be based on the results of a preliminary assessment of its existing level. The purpose of this study is to develop and use a system of indicators to assess the susceptibility of enterprises to energy-saving technologies in manufacturing. It has been determined that the susceptibility of enterprise to advanced energy-saving technologies is characterized by a set of competences of the company's employees to implement such technologies in its activities. The factors of susceptibility are grouped by dividing them into factors that ensure it and factors that form it. A system of indicators for assessing the susceptibility of enterprises to energy-saving technologies of production has been developed. This system has a hierarchical nature and contains four groups of indicators, namely: indicators that characterize the impact of the enterprise's susceptibility to energy-saving technologies on the amount of financial and economic results and the efficiency of its activities; indicators providing a generalized characteristic of this susceptibility; indicators that characterize the company's susceptibility to energy-saving technologies by individual components of this susceptibility; indicators that characterize the degree of implementation of each component of the enterprise's susceptibility to energy-saving production technologies. An empirical analysis was carried out on a sample of Ukrainian enterprises. It was found that about 60% of the investigated enterprises are characterized by a low level of susceptibility to energy-saving technological processes. At the same time, the actual volumes of investments in these technologies turned out to be significantly less than optimal. This is caused, first of all, by two reasons, namely, the lack of necessary information about energy-saving technological processes and the insufficient amount of available financial resources.
