Development of Mathematical Support for Increasing the Efficiency of Remote Gamma Radiation Monitoring of Contaminated Areas
摘要
The experience of developments in gamma spectrometry has long become a common tool in geophysical research, mineral exploration, nuclear safety, environmental protection, and recently has been steadily developing in the direction of attracting the latest achievements in the field of information and remote sensing technologies. The use of small remotely controlled machines, in particular UAVs, to determine the structure of gamma fields opened up new opportunities for work. In this regard, there are needs to improve the collected data and to process them as effectively as possible in the light of inventions of new information and computer tools. This research is devoted to the remote radiation monitoring of ground surfaces by UAVs, namely, the mathematical aspects of this technology. We review the basic cases, which admit the detail analytical studies of the gamma fields, and improve calculations in case of thick radioactive disk. It is also considered the inverse problem for the recovery of surface distribution of gamma sources. The criteria of recovered data quality are discussed.
