Conjugate Heat Transfer of Tube Bundles with Fin Ribbing

摘要

A mathematical model of the conjugate task of heat transfer of a tube bundle with fin ribbing in the presence of external and internal coolants has been developed using integral calculation methods. Numerical calculations were carried out, and integral and local thermal characteristics of tube bundles with fin ribbings, which have a rectangular, trapezoidal, concave, and convex parabolic profile, were obtained. The results of numerical modeling in the conjugate formulation of the problem using simplified calculation methods are compared. These results do not consider the effect of non-isothermal flow surface or use averaged values of heat transfer coefficients on the surface of finned tube bundles. It is shown that the use of simplified methods for calculating the heat transfer of tube bundles with fin ribbings leads to errors that can amount to 10–15% for the total exhaust flows, and for local heat transfer coefficients and temperature distributions on the surface of the finned tube bundle can reach 70%.
