SRNOCS - An Implementation Concept of a New Technology in Nursing Schools

The Technical University of Munich (TUM) together with several partners from the same scientific field and industry is currently running a large research project - Geriatronics. The aim of this project is providing a longer self-determined life for elderly people in their own home and support for nursing care stuff in the daily work routine. Swab Robot for Naso- and Oropharyngeal Covid 19 Screening (SRNOCS) was developed. The central goal is to protect medical stuff from infections. The Deutsches Museum, as one of the project partners, is developing a training program for nursing schools, that shall not only be usable for all robotic systems developed by this project, but be a general guidance for teachers. This article presents a concept of a teaching unit for nursing school students, highlighting the usage of the SRNOC System.
