Supporting Neurodiverse Students in International Schools

The focus of the chapter is on enhancing educators’ ability to cater to the diverse needs of neurodiverse students within the unique context of international schools. It highlights the increasing neurodiversity in international school settings, emphasizing the importance of inclusive education. Professional development strategies are explored, focusing on the development of educators’ skills and competencies in areas like classroom differentiation, sensory-friendly environments, and assistive technologies. The chapter also discusses the importance of collaboration between administrators, teachers, specialists, and parents to create a supportive network for neurodiverse students. In addition, it includes successfully implemented inclusive practices, offering practical examples and best practices from international schools.
