摘要

This article describes the benefits that therapeutic mental health workshops achieve in deinstitutionalizing and rehabilitating patients with mental disorders in a supervised family health strategy unit. A survey was conducted to determine how patients and their family members perceived behavioral changes after the introduction of the therapeutic group. All respondents indicated that they felt better about themselves and the people around them. They became more confident, communicative, outgoing, and less aggressive, which improved their interpersonal relationships. The strength of the psychosocial rehabilitation process lies in the interaction of the actors. The proposed workshops allowed this moment to occur without interruption, providing constant contact with different people in many different settings, thus achieving the therapeutic goal of promoting the rehabilitation of the individual.
