摘要

In this chapter, I reflect on my own journey, as a filmmaker who belongs to a culture that is subjected to colonial plunderplunder. I discuss what colonial violence is doing to me personally, to my films’ protagonists, and to my images. I look back at my previous films as working material. I assess repetitive themes in my films. I retell personal encounters with the violence of plunder, and I argue that together, my own personal experiences and my work as a filmmaker are the foundation for my present engagements with visual remains of plundervisual remains of plunder; they are an attempt to reconcile with a problematic past and an unsettling present.
