Narratives of a Mise-en-scène

In this concluding chapter, I discuss the results of the explorations in The Afterlife of Palestinian Images which reveal the present nature of Palestinian images and media equipment that have survived looting and destruction, and which assess Palestinians’ relationship with their own objects that survive and emerge out of the violence. While both the object and the subject of violence emerge altered and changed, I draw attention to the fact that violence has the effect of changing not only Palestinians and their relationship to their own images and objects, but Israelis as well.
