Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
摘要
Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder associated with developmentally inappropriate and impairing levels of inattentive, impulsive, and hyperactive behavior, that are often accompanied by intellectual disability (ID). This chapter delves into epidemiology, clinical presentation, assessment methods, and treatment strategies for these co-occurring conditions. It examines the unique challenges presented by the co-occurrence of these conditions, emphasizing the importance of comprehensive evaluation and tailored interventions. This also encompasses both pharmacological and psychosocial approaches, aiming to optimize outcomes and enhance the quality of life for individuals with ADHD and ID.
