A Hierarchical Model of Information System Security Metrics in the Education Sector: An AHP-Based Approach

In this article, we aim to present the results of a new hierarchical model to assess the security of educational information systems. The model contains the main goal which is the evaluation of the system, the criteria, and sub-criteria according to each criterion. It uses used AHP method to evaluate the security metrics. The chosen sector is the educational sector where the main objective is to preserve the data of students and teachers and even the security of online learning platforms. Based on the results of this approach we can compare the weight of each criterion of the proposed model and even in the other sectors. The results show that information system governance, data protection, and system security are the most important criteria when evaluating the educational information system.
