Enhancing Web Browser Security with LLM Chatbot Assistant: Case of Firefox Extension with ChatGPT

One of the most prominent computer software platforms ever created is Web Browser (WB). They are a gateway to access to Internet and many electronic transactions such e-mail, e-commerce, e-learning among others. Attackers Of cybercrime are aware that WB like Google chrome, Apple Safari, Opera, along with Mozilla Firefox is installed on all devices such computers, smartphones, Watch, Smart-TVs, and even cars. This ubiquity attract theme to focus to this big opportunity to exploit their vulnerabilities, but modern browsers come with many inbuilt functionalities to combat these attacks. Unfortunately, attackers are conscious that the week pieces in WB landscape is user, that big percent off them are not aware about security and that they don’t understand how to protect themselves, one of the vulnerabilities that attackers know well is that users are welling to quickly access to the content of internet by clicking in and accepting all options that can speed up their navigation desired material.by manipulating browser security setting to gain access to user’s devices. In this paper, we provide our methodology for developing a ChatGPT Language Learning Model (LLM) example with an extension designed to assist users in understanding browser preferences risk using a chatbox interface. The chatbot’s purpose is to improve users’ online safety by offering individualized recommendations based on their risk preferences through ongoing learning and adaption.
