Congruence of Skills and Technologies in the Conditions of Digitalization of Industry
摘要
Digitalization of industry is a challenge that is currently faced not only by manufacturing enterprises, but also the entire labor market. Digitalization can replace some professions; however, it is not always destructive. For engineering and technical specializations, digitalization will change the content of many professions and, as a result, the requirements for employee skills. The article analyzes the correspondence between the competencies of young specialists and the requests of enterprises. As shown, there is some incongruence between the skills available to university graduates and the requests of enterprises. The reasons for that are the following. Firstly, it is a various level of implementation of digital technologies at the enterprise. Secondly, there is a delay in the formation of the necessary skills. The response time to the company’s requests can take up to 1 year. In addition, the training time of a specialist ranges from 4 to 6 years. Thirdly, enterprises expect specialists to have not only good soft skills, but also sufficient hard skills, which are necessary to be combined with the digital skills. And the last cause lies in the financial interest of the parties.
