EIA Procedure—Mitigation and Impact Management

Mitigation methods may involve altering project design or operation, utilizing alternative technologies or materials, and applying best management practices. The purpose of mitigation is to lessen the overall effect of a project on the environment, or to completely remove substantial negative impacts.
