Environment Risk Assessment (ERA)

Environmental Risk Assessment (ERA) covers risk assessment for the main environmental component system that are surveyed in soil, water, and air. The chapter will enable learners to develop understanding and awareness about environmental risk management and likely actions for transforming society into a sustainable one. The chapter outlines practices involved in risk assessment. It also includes risk-based approach towards the environment which includes Hazard identification, dose–response assessment, Risk characterization and Risk management along with study of risk management implementation for contaminated sites, monitoring air quality, evaluating drinking water for safety, and risk analysis in waste management.
