In this chapter, we include a confirmation of the evolution of the past topics in the BioMedVis domain obtained through topic modeling using natural language processing methods. Subsequently, we hereby provide a discussion on subjects that we anticipate to be concerned with in the upcoming years. Namely, we discuss the topic of evaluation of biomedical research, the challenges related to the translation of BioMedVis research into practice, as well as the challenges of bridging the data from multiple scales and bridging BioVis and MedVis research. Finally, we also provide a list of opportunities for best practices.
