The Application of the Optimal Unit Commitment Problem for the Studies of the National Power Sector Development Under System Risks
摘要
Ensuring long-term sustainable socio-economic development depends to a large extent, reliability and effective provision of consumer needs with all types of fuel and energy. At the same time, for the power system, the main problems are unit commitment, variation in electricity demand, environmental regulations related to fossil fuel combustion, stochastic generation from renewable energy sources, and failure of system components. The developed linear programming model with integer variables for the formation of the optimal composition of generating capacities to cover the daily schedule of electric loads of the IPS of Ukraine, which includes, unlike the existing optimization models in the world, an additional stricter restriction on the power change of each electric generating unit is applied. By the developed mathematical model a structure of generating capacities that ensures a balance between the modes of electricity consumption and its production in the face of system risks, and also accounts for environmental restrictions and requirements under market conditions of power sector functioning was formed.
