Hilbert–Schmidt and Trace-Class Operators on a Manifold

A functional analytic approach to heat operators on a manifold M is provided by the notion of trace for such compact operators as operators of finite double-norm and trace class operators on the Hilbert spacce \(L^{2}(M)\) on a manifold M with or without boundary.
