Mechanism of Action of Immunomodulators in Dermatologic Disease
摘要
Fundamental knowledge of the mechanisms of action of therapies is necessary to fully understand the immunopathogenesis of dermatologic disease. In recent years, broadly-acting conventional immunosuppressiveImmunosuppressive therapies have given way to safer, more targeted biologic and small molecule therapies that directly target relevant disease-specific pathways. This chapter summarizes the old, new, and future mechanisms of action of immunomodulatorsImmunomodulators and their potential applications to immune-mediated dermatologic disease.
