Maternal Health in Low Resource Countries

This chapter will discuss the global inequalities associated with maternal health and describe the medical and social reasons why women are dying during pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period. Finally, we will comment on measures that could bring about improvements in maternal health in low resource countries.
