Generalizing Beyond Factfinding

This book’s theory extends far beyond factfinding. Section 6.1: Deciding questions of pure law is no different in nature from legal factfinding. Section 6.2: Science, in its pursuit of truth, proceeds not so differently. Multivalent degrees of belief, rather than traditional probability theory, underlie and justify how scientists most often should reason and theorize about the universe(s) in the face of epistemic uncertainty. Section 6.3: This book’s theory reaches all decisionmaking under persistent epistemic uncertainty.
