摘要

With the ingredients for searching for dark matter (DM) annihilation introduced, this chapter is dedicated to a search for a signal from self-annihilating Weakly Interacting Massive Particles in the Galactic Center region with H.E.S.S. After the presentation of the data collected with H.E.S.S. observations—the Inner Galaxy Survey observational program, some insight into the low-level details of the data taking is given. The main steps of the data analysis performed to determine whether a gamma-ray excess was present in the dataset are discussed. The spatial and spectral measured energy-count distributions for an expected dark matter signal are discussed. From the Test-Statistics analysis and its setup, the constraints obtained on \(\langle \sigma v \rangle \)  of the DM particles are discussed together with the impact of systematic uncertainties on the constraints.
