A Fibonacci Based MDS Code and Its Application to a Secret Sharing Scheme

In this article, we introduce a pioneering method for constructing a Maximum Distance Separable (MDS) matrix using the Fibonacci sequence. The application of the matrix is explored in a distinct compartmented secret sharing scheme. A new recovery approach is established, enabling the retrieval of secrets through public and private shares even in the absence of a compartment. The performance analysis is conducted through a Python program which evaluates the distribution and recovery aspects. Furthermore, a comparative study with a similar secret sharing scheme is shown.
