Uncertainty Quantification Using Monte Carlo Methods
摘要
In this chapter, we will discuss issues in the uncertainty quantification (UQ) of MEMS and the various strategies for quantifying and propagating uncertainties in MEMS models. We will focus on nonintrusive UQ strategies with special emphasis on Monte Carlo methods which we will use to generate UQ results for the tapered PEH model that we have developed in the previous chapters. We will also discuss stochastic collocation, a spectral method that is a nonintrusive fast alternative to Monte Carlo for uncertainty quantification.
