The Family of Vehicle Routing Problems
摘要
This chapter provides an introduction to the field of routing problems and explains some general content, such as why there is a need for such problems. The vehicle routing problem and the pickup and delivery problem are presented as famous examples of node-oriented routing. The main differences are outlined, solving complexities are sketched, and some relevant properties are derived. These insights form a relevant basis for the following chapters and are continuously adapted throughout the book.
