The Role of the African Diaspora in Contributing Toward and Investing in Public Services Governance in Africa: An Ethical Perspective

The article introduces how the African diaspora may contribute toward, and/or invest in public services governance in Africa. The need for critical interdisciplinarity of African studies to address matters of global context invites opportunities for developing new paradigms in a postcolonial context. Hence, by introducing how Ubuntu ethics can be explored as an ethical-based framework to support public sector governance, the article features an overview of eight recommendations of how the African Diaspora and citizen-residents can collaborate as they tap into their own cultural prisms to leverage ethics- and values-based approaches that may address some of the challenges that scholars and practitioners have identified to affect public sector ethics in Africa.
