Management of Endocrine Emergencies
摘要
Endocrine emergencies require prompt identification and intervention to prevent morbidity and mortality. This chapter addresses the presentation, diagnosis, initial management, and disposition of patients with endocrine emergencies such as diabetic ketoacidosis, hyperglycemic hyperosmolar syndrome, adrenal crisis, hypernatremia secondary to diabetes insipidus, thyroid storm, and hypoglycemia.
