After the Stroke (Secondary Prevention)

Seeing stroke patients in follow-up can be daunting, given the many issues to cover. It is impossible to cover everything in a meaningful way, from stroke etiology and workup to medical treatments, recovery and rehabilitation issues, and post-stroke complications. Interdisciplinary care utilizes specialists from different specialties to evaluate and treat the whole patient efficiently and thoroughly. This chapter will review topics to cover during a stroke follow-up visit.
