Workup of ICH
摘要
Intracranial hemorrhage describes blood in any compartment inside the skull, such as epidural, subdural, subarachnoid, intraparenchymal, and intraventricular hemorrhages. The terms intraparenchymal and intracerebral hemorrhage both mean bleeding within the brain tissue. In this chapter and typically in clinical practice, the acronym ICH means intracerebral hemorrhage. This chapter will focus on the diagnostic workup to evaluate the cause of ICH, defining primary and secondary ICH, and strategies to minimize ICH recurrence.
