Small Vessel Disease

Small vessel ischemic disease is a common mechanism for stroke. The underlying vasculopathy is due to exposure to chronic risk factors like hypertension and diabetes. This chapter will review the diagnosis and management of small vessel disease and discuss how it differs from intracranial atherosclerosis.
