How Has Neoliberalism Been Applied to HE?

This chapter examines how the concept of neoliberalism has been used in the academic literature on HE. It demonstrates that in the field of education, neoliberalism is used to critique a range of processes and practices in and management of the HE sector or specifically (public) universities. The chapter then demonstrates how all three approaches of neoliberalism outlined in Chap. 3 can be applied to comprehend how HE and universities have changed over time.
