This chapter reviews the BIRADS lexicon for mammography focusing on masses (shape, margins, density) and calcifications (morphology, distribution), asymmetries (focal, global and increasing), architectural distortion, and a variety of miscellaneous findings (such as intramammary lymph nodes, skin lesions, skin and trabecular thickening, nipple retraction, and axillary lymphadenopathy).
