Contemporary Management Techniques in the Function of Work Improvement in Primary Schools of Canton Sarajevo

摘要

This paper is focused on the analysis of the causal relationships of the quality of management in primary schools, measured through the application of modern management techniques through time, technology and process management, and the improvement of the functioning quality of primary schools as educational institutions. The assumption stays that connection between efficient time management and the application of modern technologies in schools points to the expectation that managers who apply modern technologies optimize time more efficiently and therefore all processes in the schools. The research was conducted in Sarajevo Canton, and the sample used in the research was a convenience target one. The population as the basic statistical mass from which the sample is extracted consists of principals of primary schools in the Canton of Sarajevo, while the size of the sample itself is 57 principals who duly filled out the sent questionnaire. The questionnaire is made up of six segments, five of which measure attitudes related to time management, operations management, use of digital technologies, competence development and leadership styles, with an additional sixth segment that includes the demographic characteristics of the respondents, thus principals. The aim of the paper is to test the impact of modern management techniques usage and digital technologies in the work process of the principal on improving the quality perception in the functioning of primary schools in Sarajevo Canton.
