A Perspective on the Graphene-Based Materials Toward Eco-friendly Synthesis Methods
摘要
This book chapter mainly presents the most recent development of ecological synthesis methods for graphene-based materials. In the beginning, this work provides information about the basic introduction of graphene-based materials, their possible applications, and available synthesis techniques. Then, eco-friendly synthesis methods for graphene-based materials and their importance are also highlighted. Some of the green synthesis techniques, such as the ball-milling technique, sonication method, hydrothermal and solvothermal synthesis techniques, and the sol–gel technique and spin-coating technique are briefly described. Understanding these techniques will provide valuable information for synthesizing high-quality graphene-based materials with environmentally friendly. This chapter also provides more emphasis on the waste materials that are sources of graphene-based materials and their composites, which could be helpful in reducing the pollution of the environment as well as synthesis costs. In the end, future perspectives toward more sustainable processes will be discussed, providing useful ideas for the betterment of the world. Therefore, analyzing this research work can support the advancement of the different photocatalytic processes like water treatment and hydrogen production.
