Carbon–Li Nanocomposites as Anode for Lithium–Sulfur Battery

Lithium/Sulfur Batteries (Li–S batteries) shows a superior capacity that promises to become high-performance energy storage. However, the Lithium dendrite growth caused by high local current density will result in a short circuit and hidden danger become the problem in using Li metal anode for Li–S batteries. Recent studies show carbon–Li nanocomposites are promising to overcome the disadvantage of Li metal anode in Li–S batteries. This review focus on Carbon–Li nanocomposites as material anode that make the Li–S batteries suitable for high-performance energy storage. The review will be divided into two main sections, including the characteristic of Carbon–Li nanocomposites and its impact for Li–S batteries as anodes.
