摘要

Urban heat islands (UHIs) present serious obstacles to public health, well-being, and urban sustainability. This study investigates how planners and architects may use sensor technology to identify UHIs and put into practice effective mitigation plans. To gather and analyse data on temperature fluctuations across urban environments, this paper presents a comprehensive framework using sensor deployment strategies. Using data-driven insights, planners and architects can construct more resilient, sustainable cities and devise focused strategies to counter urban heat islands. Architects and planners play a pivotal role in mitigating urban heat islands (UHIs) and promoting sustainable urban development through the adoption of state-of-the-art techniques and sensor technologies. Furthermore, a suggestion for an app is presented that addresses the requirements of urban planners and designers by providing them with a platform to research and evaluate urban heat distribution in specific locations. The smartphone app integrates map, drawing, analysis, and solution tools to empower planners and designers with evidence-based recommendations prioritizing resilience and climate management, leveraging advanced data analytics and satellite thermal sensors for proactive resolution of urban heat island issues. By fostering climate-conscious decision-making and sustainable development, it has the potential to significantly improve urban living conditions and mitigate challenges related to urban heat islands and green space shortage.
