Knee Osteoarthritis and Arthroplasty
摘要
The knee is one of the most common joints for patients to injure and develop osteoarthritis. The bony anatomy along with the ligamentous attachments provide stability to the knee while allowing motion and function. Osteoarthritis of the knee can occur following injuries to the knee but most commonly is due to genetics, often resulting in significant limitation of joint function and production of pain necessitating in many patients undergoing knee replacement, the most common joint replacement procedure.
