In this chapter, the perspective from nonfood fast-moving consumer goods is provided. It will follow the waste of hierarchy definition of the EU Commission in order to show sustainable innovation to prevent unneeded material use and generating as little as possible waste. The work on packaging circularity already started many years ago and thus is further developed. Systemic changes are needed and the three Rs (reduce/reuse/recycle) remain key to further avoiding continuous depletion of our natural resources. We will feature the power of cross value chain collaborations by several examples and applications.

摘要

In this chapter, the perspective from nonfood fast-moving consumer goods is provided. It will follow the waste of hierarchy definition of the EU Commission in order to show sustainable innovation to prevent unneeded material use and generating as little as possible waste. The work on packaging circularity already started many years ago and thus is further developed. Systemic changes are needed and the three Rs (reduce/reuse/recycle) remain key to further avoiding continuous depletion of our natural resources. We will feature the power of cross value chain collaborations by several examples and applications.
