Dermatological Therapy

摘要

The treatment of skin diseases includes topical, systemic, physical, and surgical therapies. When choosing the appropriate topical therapy, it is necessary to consider the most suitable dermatological preparation (e.g., cream, ointment, solution), mode of action, localization of the affected skin or mucous membrane, and duration of treatment. Topical corticosteroids are the most commonly used topical medications for the treatment of skin diseases. Their application is simple, they are highly effective, and they have a low risk of systemic side effects when used properly. Systemic treatment in dermatology should be considered when the skin disease is widespread and recurrent, when topical therapies are unavailable or ineffective, or when the skin disease is associated with a systemic process in the body. Three main types of phototherapy include broadband UVB, narrowband UVB, and UV photochemotherapy. Dermatological surgery involves a range of surgical methods used in the diagnosis and treatment of skin tumors, different conditions of the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes, as well as many reconstructive and cosmetic methods.
