Nonvenereal Genital Dermatoses and Perianal Dermatoses

The dermatoses involving the genitalia can be venereal or nonvenereal. The nonvenereal dermatoses are not sexually transmitted and comprise a broad spectrum of diseases. Common nonvenereal genital dermatoses include fungal infections (candidiasis) and infestations (scabies), inflammatory and autoimmune dermatoses (psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, lichen planus, lichen sclerosus, vitiligo), allergic diseases (contact dermatitis, fixed drug eruption), multisystem diseases (Behçet syndrome, Reiter syndrome, Crohn’s disease), and benign, premalignant, and malignant neoplasms (extramammary Paget disease, Zoon’s balanitis, erythroplasia of Queyrat, squamous cell carcinoma).
