Disorders/Diseases of the Lips, Tongue, and Oral Mucosa
摘要
Various conditions may affect the normal structure and appearance of the lips, tongue, and oral mucosa with considerable frequency, including genetic disorders, infections, dermatological conditions, inflammatory, endocrine, metabolic, hematological, and autoimmune diseases, as well as benign and malignant tumors. Although pathological changes in the oral cavity are often harmless or minor, they can also be early or even the main symptom of serious dermatological conditions, such as pemphigus vulgaris.
