Improving multi-sensory building occupant research and guaranteeing a user-centric approach in building design for more sustainable and supportive buildings for individuals could be reached through an innovative approach based on Virtual Reality. The implementation of an effective, valid, and replicable experimental framework to organise, carry out and enhance the adoption of Virtual Reality technology in research studies could significantly solve these issues. Significant examples of validation and successful applications are provided in this book. However, the potential of Virtual Reality solutions should be extended, and further works are needed. This conclusive chapter summarizes the main achievements and impact on academia, building design, standards and society.
