Next to the Matrix Coding Query, Reports help the researcher summarise the data in a project. Users can build predefined reports or create custom-made ones, choosing which project items need to be summarised. In the second part, the chapter discusses the export of data or parts of the data in a project. A Text Report or Extract is a tabular extract of data intended to export the data from your project to external databases (in the form of an Excel file). The chapter closes with conversions of an entire project. Hereby, the chapter shows how NVivo projects can be converted from a Windows format to MAC and vice versa or how project file backups can be made (as no automatic backups are created with NVivo). Also, the export to the FERI-QDA Project format (the Rotterdam Exchange Format Initiative) is discussed to enable the exchange of projects across software programs.
