Fast Fashion and Circular Economy: Insights from Corporate Social Responsibility Report Evaluation
摘要
This chapter explores the potential of the circular economy as a solution to the negative impacts of fast fashion. The fast fashion industry has revolutionized the fashion industry by providing consumers with affordable and trendy clothing, but it has also resulted in significant environmental and social issues. The circular economy, an economic model that aims to minimize waste and maximize resource use, offers a promising solution to these issues. A case study approach was employed to examine the strategies and initiatives of fast fashion companies that have implemented circular practices. It also conducts interviews with industry experts and stakeholders to identify the barriers and opportunities for implementing circular practices in the fast fashion industry. The findings suggest that the circular economy offers a promising solution to the negative impacts of fast fashion, but significant barriers and challenges exist. The study concludes by providing recommendations for the industry to promote more sustainable and circular practices and highlighting the need for further research and collaboration in this area.
