Acting Innovation Through Efficient Solutions for a Sustainable Future

The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has altered many countries’ future projections, particularly in terms of energy sustainability. This crisis, which occurred after a 2-year pandemic, has once again demonstrated the importance of a sustainable future. A sustainable future can be described as using fewer fossil energy sources in human settlements, applying more recycling in the environment, and following the circular economy perspectives such as how we manage resources, how we create and consume things, and what we do with the materials after. Innovation, which can be defined as a new idea or a method, shapes sustainability. Innovation is a primary source of systemic environmental and sustainability challenges, as well as a critical component of society’s response to such challenges. Technological innovation, a policy priority across Europe, has historically been a significant “driver of change” for society and the environment. Although technological advancements provide numerous benefits, they are also associated with significant collateral risks and new challenges. This study aims to present the need for acting Innovation for a sustainable future through efficient solutions after the pandemic and during the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. Therefore; some efficient solutions are offered by employing a low-carbon economy, using the latest types of renewable energy including advanced photovoltaics (PV) and bioenergy generation supported by artificial intelligence (AI) and big data and smart grids.
