Static Facial Suspension with Fascia Lata

The gold standard reconstruction of chronic flaccid facial palsy is dynamic reanimation with functional muscle; however, not all patients are appropriate candidates for lengthy microvascular procedures and are better served with static rehabilitation. Facial suspension with fascia lata at the nasal base, nasolabial fold, and oral commissure can improve resting facial symmetry and nasal passage obstruction.
